303 <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice-Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />No one spoke in favor or opposition to the request. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to close the public hearing for the <br />J.R. Williams request. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice-Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution to declare property surplus <br />and authorize leasing of property. Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />approve the following Resolution: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />AND DELIVERY OF LEASEHOLD AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN COUNTY OF LEE AND J.R. WILLIAMS <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee is the owner <br />as depicted on the map of Pine Ridge Develop <br />Surveyor, in Map Book 3, Page 55, Lee County <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee has not made <br />since its conveyance by deed dated July 22, <br />Book 434, Page 75, Lee County Registry; and <br />of Lots 46, 47, and 49 <br />nent by Floyd W. Womble, <br />Registry; and <br />use of said property <br />1989, and recorded in <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee as a part of a Community Development <br />Block Grant Program proposes to lease said property to J.R. Williams <br />for a period of ten (10) years with the annual rental being the <br />payment of the ad valorem taxes on said property to enable Mr. <br />Williams to place a mobile home on said property and to vacate his <br />present substandard dwelling home; and <br />WHEREAS, public notice was given in conformity with the <br />requirements of N.C. General Statute 160A-272 and N.C. General <br />Statute 153A-176 of a public hearing on the question of whether or <br />not the Board of Commissioners should authorize said lease; and <br />WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held and no opposition to <br />the granting of such lease was presented; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that the said <br />property will not be needed by the County for the term of the lease; <br />and <br />11 <br />10 <br />
