nl gook 15 Prs~ 336 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA AUGUST ley, 1993 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 16, 1993, in the Commissioner's Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; Nathan E. Paschal; Robert T. Reives; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. J Chairman Stafford presided and the following business was transacted: Commissioner Ed Paschal delivered the invocation. The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the regular August 2, 1993, meeting and the August 5, 1993, "Hard Hat" tour of the Courthouse/Jail/Law Enforcement Center Project. After noting a change, Commissioner Garner moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meetings. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Matthews asked that an appointment be made to the Mid-Carolina Regional Development Authority, County Attorney K.R. Hoyle asked that a contract with the San-Lee Humane Society be considered, Commissioner Dossenbach asked that he be allowed to address a security matter, Commissioner Garner asked that he be allowed to address an airport matter, County Manager William Cowan asked that the Board consider an award for the HVAC testing and balancing contract for the Courthouse Project and a change order for the Magistrates area, and Commissioner Stafford asked that an Executive Session be added to discuss Industrial and Economic Development. 1
