0 <br />tvon ; 15 prrr 375 <br />Ms. Wanda Howard of 1327 Fred Stone Road and Howard Moore of <br />7413 Chickadee Court spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />Messrs. Jimmy Tucker and W. L. Butner of Kingfisher Road, Terry <br />Erferd of 5710 Quail Ridge Drive and Bill Parrish of 5618 Mockingbird <br />Lane spoke in opposition to the rezoning request. <br />C. Public hearing to consider amending Article IV, <br />Interpretation of Words and Terms, Section 2, Definitions, definition <br />of Family Care Home - Delete the following test: "G.S. <br />122-58.2(1)(b)" and replace this deleted text with the following <br />test: "G.S. 122C-3(11)b". The public hearing is also to consider <br />adding the following to Article VII, District Regulations, Section 3, <br />Table of Permitted Uses, Notes to the Table of Permitted Uses: 7) A <br />family care home is prohibited from locating within a one-half mile <br />radius of an existing family care home (reference Article 13 of G.S. <br />168). <br />The General Statue reference should be changed to G.S. <br />122C-3(11)b since the General Statute currently referenced in the <br />zoning ordinance has been repealed by the state and replaced by G.S. <br />122C-3(11)b. <br />Article 13 of G.S. 168 also allows local governments to prohibit <br />family care homes from locating within one-half mile of an existing <br />family care home. <br />No one spoke in favor or opposition to the zoning ordinance. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to close the public hearings. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to recess the meeting until 8:00 P.M. at <br />Sanford City Hall. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />At 8:00 P.M. the Lee County Board of Commissioners (with all <br />members present), Sanford City Aldermen and Sanford-Lee County <br />Airport Authority held a joint meeting in the West Conference Room, <br />008 <br />8 <br />
