W 15 POrr 511 <br />The Board considered a request for proposal of a state-required <br />local water supply plan. Interim Planning Director Bob Joyce told <br />the Board the following bids were received for the services: <br />Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates, P.A. $3,500 <br />Dixon-Gibson Engineering Associates $2,680 <br />McKim & Creed $3,300 <br />Ken Bright Associates $3,000 - 5,000 <br />John R. McAdams $4,000 <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the low bid of $2,680 to <br />Dixon-Gibson Engineering Associates. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered scheduling a public hearing to consider <br />Adoption of Watershed Protection Ordinance for Lee County. Interim <br />Planning Director Bob Joyce answered questions of the Board. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to schedule a public hearing to <br />consider Adoption of Watershed Protection Ordinance for Lee County at <br />the next meeting on December 6, 1993, at 5:00 P.M. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />®008 <br />The Board considered an agreement for engineering services with <br />Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates, P.A. for Phase I of a proposed water <br />system for Lee County. Commissioner Garner moved to approve an <br />agreement for engineering services with Hobbs, Upchurch & Assocites <br />for Phase I of a proposed Lee County water system for $4,000.00, <br />upon completion of the Preliminary Engineering Report and acceptance <br />of same by the Owner and Farmers Home Administration, with the <br />remaining balance of the $6,000.00 due upon funding commitment by <br />Farmers Home Administration. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />4 <br />
