After some discussion Commissioner Garner moved to approve <br />the increase in environmental health fees. After further discussion <br />commissioner Garner withdrew his motion. <br />The Board considered Tax Refunds and Releases for October, 1993. <br />Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman was present and explained the <br />refunds and releases to the Board. Commissioner Reives moved to <br />approve the Tax Releases and Refunds for October, 1993. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered reduction in value of property for James <br />Bost of 1217 Caviness Drive, Sanford, on his property for the 1992 <br />tax year. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman was present and <br />explained to the Board the reason for the error. Commissioner <br />Paschal moved to approve a reduction in value of property for Mr. <br />James Bost for the 1992 tax year from $184,000 to $114,800.00. Upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request by the Sanford Kiwanis Club to <br />design and build a garden at Kiwanis Family Park and turn over to the <br />County for maintenance. After much discussion Commissioner Stafford <br />moved to table the request. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request to replace the basketball goals <br />at the Lee County Art's Center. Recreation Director Bob Dowless was <br />present and discussed with the Board. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to replace the basketball goals at the Lee <br />County Art's Center.
