Loin; 15 X35 <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to <br />one vote. <br />The Board considered approval of The Lee County Board of Health <br />By-Laws. Health Director Eugene Hines was present and discussed the <br />By-Laws with the Board and answered questions. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to approve The Lee County Board of Health <br />By-Laws, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed with the Board and Health <br />Department representatives grouting of wells in Lee County. He had <br />concerns about County employees having to spend time at well sites to <br />verify that the correct amount of cement is poured around the well. <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board observed a short recess. Upon returning from the <br />recess, with all members present, the Board considered appointments <br />to the Mid-Carolina Private Industry Council. Ms. Deborah VanGorder <br />was present and explained to the Board the need for changes in the <br />Board and answered questions. After some discussion it was decided <br />to take the issue under advisement and make appointments at the next <br />meeting on January 18, 1994. <br />The Board considered recommendations of the Planning Board. <br />County Manager William Cowan told the Board that the Planning Board <br />recommended denial of Ralph Hall's petition to rezone 5.73 acres of <br />land at 2816 Kentrywood Farm Road from Residential Agricultural <br />District to Light Industrial Conditional Use District. After much <br />discussion, and comments from petitioner Ralph Hall, Commissioner <br />Stafford moved to table the matter.
