LOOK .15 ;r,~t, 534 <br />The Chairperson ruled the substitute motion was adopted <br />unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner gave the Board a brief update on a recent <br />meeting he attended with the Chairman of the Airport Authority. He <br />stated he still personally had a problem with buying up 800 or 900 <br />acres of land, but he doesn't know if there is much that can be done <br />even if a Resolution were passed to ask the Airport Authority to <br />limit it to 300 acres. He still doesn't know what the situation will <br />be on Lee's Chapel Road, across the railroad track, on Lower Moncure <br />Road. No one had any questions of commissioner Garner. <br />The Board considered a Resolution to provide the regulation of <br />basic service tier rates and related equipment installation and <br />service charges of any cable television system operating in Lee <br />County. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle answered questions of the Board. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the Resolution, a copy of which <br />is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a report from the North Carolina Low-Level <br />Radioactive Waste Management Authority. Ms. Chrystal Harris Stowe <br />and Sara Kempin answered questions of Board members. <br />The Board considered a request to designate two parking spaces <br />at the Courthouse parking lot for Superior and District Court Judges. <br />After some discussion commissioner Reives moved to approve two <br />parking spaces at the Courthouse for Superior and District Court <br />Judges. After further discussion Commissioner Paschal made an <br />amended motion to approve two parking spaces at the Courthouse and <br />mark them "Reserved". Upon a vote of the amended motion, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Paschal <br />Nay: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion failed with a six to one vote. <br />Upon a vote of the original motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Paschal <br />003 <br />3 <br />
