BOOK i5 t": _ 533 <br />several local industries and expressed appreciation for their <br />contributions to the economic well-being of Lee County. <br />Certifications of appreciation were presented to representatives from <br />the following industries: <br />Pioneer Yarns (now Unifi) <br />Eagle Electric Company <br />This End Up Furniture <br />Praxis Biologics <br />Weber USA, Inc. <br />Spanco Industries, Inc. <br />Parker Hannifin <br />Static Control Components <br />McDonald's of Sanford <br />Amigo <br />Service Hardware & Home Center, Inc. <br />Heilig-Meyers <br />K-Mart <br />Bojangles <br />Hampton Inn <br />Central Carolina Hospital <br />Commissioner Stafford moved that County Attorney K. R. Hoyle <br />prepare a Resolution for Bob Joyce for tenure of service to Lee <br />County to be presented at the next meeting. Mr. Joyce terminated his <br />employment with the County on December 23, 1993. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution supporting the use of generic <br />drugs for medicaid recipients from the Health Department. Health <br />Director Eugene Hines told the Board that the Board of Health had <br />unanimously voted to not approve the Resolution supporting this <br />request. He further stated that not all generic drugs are equivalent <br />to some name brands. After much discussion commissioner Paschal <br />moved to support the recommendation of the Board of Health not to <br />endorse the Resolution. After further discussion Commissioner Garner <br />made a substitute motion to send the Resolution back to the Board of <br />Health for rewording and clarification. Upon a vote of the <br />substitute motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />002 <br />2 <br />
