COOK A5 :err 552 <br />The Chairperson invited the Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for the joint public hearings. Planner Leisa Powell <br />presented the following: <br />A. Petition by Marshall and Sandra Kelly to rezone from <br />Heavy Industrial District to Residential Agricultural District 9.8 <br />acres of land on the northern side of Sellars Road adjoining the <br />western property line of 6334 Sellars Road. <br />Mr. Marshall Kelly of 8913 Pilson Road spoke in favor of the <br />rezoning request. <br />Mr. Jamie Teel, Representative of Stone Container which is <br />located beside the property in question expressed concerns. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />B. Petition by Herb Keith for J. Linwood Keith to rezone <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial District a <br />total of approximately 3.46 acres of land on the western side of <br />Hawkins Avenue at 3233 Hawkins Avenue. <br />Mr. Herb Keith, on behalf of J. Linwood Keith, spoke in favor of <br />the rezoning request. <br />Messrs. and Rev. Clarence Gunter, Pastor of the United Church of <br />Christ, Roger Milliken of 3304 Hawkins Avenue, George Derby and C. <br />M. Wicker of 3232 Hawkins Avenue spoke in opposition to the rezoning <br />request. <br />C. Petition by Janet Goins to rezone from Residential <br />Restricted District to Residential Agricultural Conditional Use <br />District 3.0 acres of land on the eastern side of Carbonton Road at <br />4206 Carbonton Road for the location of one Class C manufactured home <br />in addition to one existing Class C manufactured home currently <br />located on the property, after completing a minor subdivision of the <br />property into two lots. <br />Ms. Janet Goins of 4206 Carbonton Road spoke in favor of the <br />rezoning request. <br />Dr. David Ciliberto of 4010 Carbonton Road expressed concerns <br />that when Ms. Goins or her daughter no longer live in the mobile <br />homes what will happen to the lots. He asked if a conditional use <br />stipulation could be placed on the lots. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to close the public hearings. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Oils <br />6 <br />
