goo :15 racy 54 7 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />J <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />JANUARY 18, 1994 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, <br />January 18, 1994, in the commissioner's Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha <br />L. Matthews; Nathan E. Paschal; Robert T. Reives; William C. <br />Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Chairperson Matthews presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Rev Del Parkinson, Pastor of First Baptist Church delivered the <br />invocation. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the regular <br />January 4, 1994, Board of Commissioners meeting. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to approve the minutes as the official G,record of <br />said meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: ` <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, 'Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />001 <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />I <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. "'Commissioner <br />Stafford asked that he be allowed to make comments when the new Lee <br />County School Superintendent was introduced; County Attorney K. R. yy,•. <br />Hoyle asked that a Resolution be considered to amendthe By-Laws of~ <br />the Lee County Industrial Development: Corporation,j¢County Manager.- 4 jam <br />William Cowan asked that a 'Resolutlon be considered authorizing a <br />persons to sign for, requesting funds for the coprletioii of the y <br />County''l 990 CDBGxfunds; County ManagV ' William, Cow~n;'C;'asked that <br />Item 6-C-be deleted~}pnder other New Business to considei``a candidate <br />for the Lee County'14'~H`position; ands Commissioner Garner asked that a <br />previous "tabled" matter concerning the garden at the Kiwanis Family <br />Park be discussed.
