002 <br />eooz i~ ~?:t:: 55~ <br />Aye: Garner, Paschal, and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Chairperson <br />Matthews asked that the Cumnock water system and concerns of the Lee <br />County water policy be added to the agenda. Commissioner Stafford <br />moved to approve the agenda as printed with the above additions. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the Planning Boards' recommendation on a <br />recent petition request of Herb Keith for J. Linwood Keith. Mrs. <br />Leisa Powell, Planner, read a letter which Mr. Keith had faxed to the <br />Commissioners asking the Board to approve his request. Rev. Clarence <br />Gunter, Pastor of the Northview United Church of Christ spoke in <br />opposition to Mr. Keith's letter. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to deny the Planning Boards' recommendation. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Mandate Reduction Request: Health Care - <br />Use of Generic Drugs for Medicaid Recipients from the Health <br />Department. Dr. Robert Cline, Health Board member was present and <br />gave reasons for the Board of Health's decision to deny this request. <br />After some discussion commissioner Paschal moved to accept the <br />recommendation of the Board of Health to not take any action on this <br />Resolution. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairperson Matthews discussed with the Board the status of the <br />Cumnock water system. The City of Sanford Engineering Department has <br />told County Manager William Cowan this is the next project on their <br />list of things to be done. They will evaluate the system to see how <br />2 <br />
