Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered budget amendment # 02/07/94/12. County <br />Manager William Cowan told the Board these were typical requests for <br />our financial operations. Commissioner Reives moved to approve <br />budget amendment # 02/07/94/12, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. County Manager William Cowan <br />explained the contract to Board members. He asked the Board to amend <br />agreement #0001 with Seacor Services, Inc. and to amend Exhibit C <br />(C.1) from a thirty (30) day written notice of termination to ninety <br />(90) days. Commissioner Stafford moved to approve agreement #0001 <br />with Seacor Services, Inc. to operate the Lee County Water Plant, and <br />amend Exhibit C (C.1) from a thirty (30) day written notice of <br />termination to ninety (90) days written notice of termination, a copy <br />of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a <br />part hereof. <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered transfer of ownership of the Friendship <br />Village and Riddle Road water lines to the City of Sanford. County <br />Manager William Cowan told the Board these two lines are in violation <br />of the total trihalomethane maximum contaminant level allowed by the <br />N.C. Drinking Act. It has been suggested by the Regional Coordinator <br />with DEHNR that the most feasible solution to this problem would be <br />to convey the lines to the City of Sanford. In July of 1993, the <br />City of Sanford's Law and Finance Committee indicated they would be <br />willing to accept ownership and responsibility for these lines. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to grant ownership and responsibility of <br />11 <br />
