ao~ .15 RH 581 3 <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered demolition of a County owned structure at <br />807 Park Avenue (Park Avenue Park). At the last Board meeting <br />Commissioners instructed Parks & Recreation Director Bob Dowless to <br />contact the National Park Service about possibly relocating the <br />structure at 807 Park Avenue. County Manager William Cowan told the <br />Board that Mr. Dowless had contacted the National Park service and <br />they have told him this building may be relocated to another site. <br />After some discussion, Commissioner Stafford moved to authorize <br />Commissioners Paschal and Wicker to dispose of this building in the <br />best interest of the County. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution advancing scheduled octennial <br />reappraisal. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman explained to the <br />Board the need for this Resolution. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following Resolution: <br />RESOLUTION ADVANCING <br />SCHEDULED OCTENNIAL REAPPRAISAL <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina G.S. 105-286(a) (2) authorizes a <br />county to advance a scheduled octennial reappraisal; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners for Lee County desires to <br />conduct a reappraisal of real property earlier than required by <br />subsection (a) of said statute; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for <br />Lee County as follows: <br />Section 1. That Lee County shall reappraise all real <br />property in accordance with the provisions of North Carolina G.S. <br />105-283 and 105-317 as of January 1, 1995, and every eighth year <br />thereafter. <br />Section 2. The Clerk to the Board is authorized and <br />directed to forward promptly to the Department of Revenue a copy of <br />this resolution. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />3 <br />
