If deemed proper by the Board of Appeals, <br />this condition may be modified to require the owner to permit <br />the Sanford/Lee County Regional Airport Authority at its own <br />expense to install, operate, and maintain the necessary <br />markings and lights. <br />SECTION VIII: ENFORCEMENT <br />It shall be the duty of the Lee County Zoning Administrator to <br />administer and enforce the regulations prescribed herein. <br />Applications for permits and variances shall be made to the Lee <br />County Zoning Administrator upon a form furnished by the <br />Administrator. Applications required by the ordinance to be <br />submitted to the Lee County Zoning Administrator shall be promptly <br />considered and granted or denied by the Administrator. The Zoning <br />Administrator shall forward all other applications to the Board of <br />Appeals. <br />SECTION IX: APPEALS <br />The Lee County Board of Adjustment is hereby designated as the <br />Board of Appeals under the provisions of this ordinance. All <br />appeals shall be heard by the Lee County Board of Adjustment and <br />shall be handled in the same manner by the Board of Adjustment as <br />appeals from regulations of The Zoning Ordinance of Lee County. <br />North Carolina. <br />The Lee County Board of Adjustment shall (1) hear and decide <br />appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination <br />made by the Lee County Zoning Administrator in the enforcement of <br />this Ordinance; (2) hear and decide special exceptions to the <br />terms of this ordinance upon which such Board of Adjustment under <br />such regulations may be required to pass; (3) hear and decide <br />specific variances. <br />SECTION IX: PENALTIES <br />Each violation of this ordinance or of any regulation, order, or <br />ruling promulgated hereunder shall constitute a misdemeanor and be <br />punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars <br />($500.00) or imprisonment for not more than thirty days or both, <br />and each day a violation continues to exist shall constitute a <br />separate offense. <br />SECTION X: CONFLICTING REGULATIONS <br />Where there exists a conflict between any of the regulations or <br />limitations prescribed in this ordinance and any other regulations <br />-9- <br />
