Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />and the meeting recessed in keeping with the motion. <br />The meeting reconvened at 7:00 P.M. in the Commissioners' Room <br />of the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, with all members present. Commissioner Paschal moved <br />to hold joint public hearings with the Lee County Planning Board on <br />matters of mutual concern as advertised and scheduled for this date <br />and time. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairperson invited the Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for the joint public hearings. Planner Leisa Powell <br />presented the following: <br />A. Petition by Jack Maxwell to rezone from Residential <br />Restricted District to Highway Commercial District 2.94 acres of land <br />on the western side of Jefferson Davis Highway. <br />Mr. Jack Maxwell of 2107 Sutphin Road, Sanford, spoke in favor <br />of the rezoning request. <br />Mr. Cleo Blue and his mother Mrs. Nellie Blue of Jefferson Davis <br />Highway spoke about concerns they had concerning the rezoning <br />request. <br />B. Petition by Herb Keith for J. Linwood Keith to rezone <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial <br />Conditional Use District a total of approximately 3.46 acres of land <br />on the western side of Hawkins Avenue at 3233 Hawkins Avenue for the <br />location of compartmentalized storage for individual storage of <br />residential and commercial goods. <br />10 <br />
