Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was in executive session. Following the Boards's discussion in executive session, Commissioner Dossenbach moved the executive session be closed. The meeting reconvened at 7:00 P.M. in the Commissioners Room of the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, with all members present. Commissioner Garner moved that the Board hold joint public hearings with the Lee County Planning Board on matters of mutual concern as advertised and scheduled for this date and time. The Chairperson invited the Planning Board Members to join the Commissioners for the joint public hearing. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle presented the following: A. Petition by John and Gail Foushee to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District a portion of land at the southwestern corner of Henley Road and Center Church Road for the location of a 32 square feet off-premises outdoor advertising sign as a directional sign to their nursery. Mr. John Foushee spoke in favor of the rezoning request. No one spoke in opposition to the request. Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearing.
