s~~~ 15 ?n~~ 6~2 <br />the Board Mr. Dwayne Anderson, President of Anderson Development <br />Corp. has requested the Board approve an option to Purchase the <br />Wilrik Building and properties. The option proposed is between the <br />Lee County Board of Commissioners and Preservation NC, Inc., who will <br />assign the option to Anderson Development Corp. Some discussion took <br />place as to exploring the concept of designing and constructing the <br />basement, first and second floors of the Wilrik Building as an area <br />dedicated to arts programming and the top floors renovated into <br />affordable housing for the elderly. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Option to Purchase with <br />Preservation NC, Inc., effective June 1, 1994, a copy of which is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered establishing boundary lines for the Cumnock <br />Water Service District and schedule a public hearing. County Manager <br />William Cowan told the Board the Department of Environmental Health <br />and Natural Resources has approved the plans and specifications as <br />prepared by the City of Sanford for improvements to the Cumnock Water <br />system. Informal bids have also been received by the Public Works <br />Department for repairs to the system. Bids were received from the <br />following: <br />Vila Pump Company $ 17,945.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />J. C.
