0 8908 is rASF 651 <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Finance Director Lisa Minter <br />to-dispose of obsolete records. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Garner moved to approve the request to destroy old records from the <br />Finance Department, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and <br />by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for consulting services for asbestos <br />removal at the current Sheriff's Department, Jail and Courthouse. <br />County Manager William Cowan told the Board the Maintenance <br />Department had solicited bids for removal of asbestos at the current <br />sites and the following bids had been received: <br />Childress Environmental Consultant $ 850.00 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />Contaminant Control 2,500.00 <br />Fayetteville, NC <br />EEC, Inc. 2,500.00 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />Asbestos Management Team, Inc. 1,250.00 <br />Greenville, NC <br />After some discussion Commissioner Paschal moved to accept the low <br />bid from Childress Environmental consultant for $850.00 for <br />consulting services for asbestos removal at the current Sheriff's <br />Department, Jail and Courthouse. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an Option to Purchase the Wilrik Building <br />from Anderson Development Corp.
