aoo~ 15 ~r,,=_ 6'79 10 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR SEALED BIDS FOR SALE AND REMOVAL <br />OF BUILDING AT 807 TRYON STREET, SANFORD, N.C. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee <br />desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the County; <br />that: <br />NOW1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared to be <br />surplus to the needs of the County: Building located at 807 Park <br />Place, Sanford, N.C. <br />2. The County Manager is authorized and directed to receive <br />on the Board of Commissioner's behalf sealed bids for the purchase <br />and removal of the property described above. <br />3. Sealed bids may be submitted to the office of the County <br />Manager, Room 100, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, N.C., to be opened on Friday, the 10th day of June, <br />1994, at 10:00 a.m. <br />4. Bids of less than $3,500.00 will not be considered nor <br />will bids requiring more than sixty (60) days for removal of the <br />® building from and after receipt of acceptance of bid. Bids will <br />not be-accepted unless, upon time of filing, they are accompanied <br />by a deposit of cash, cashier's or certified check, or bid bond <br />equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. <br />5. After the opening of bids, no bid may be withdrawn, <br />except under the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-129.1, for a <br />period of thirty (30) days. <br />6. The successful bidder, at his expense, must give all <br />notices, secure all permits, and comply with all laws, ordinances, <br />codes, regulations, and rules bearing upon the conduct of the work <br />pertaining to the purchase and removal of said building. <br />7. Successful bidder must have public liability insurance in <br />an amount satisfactory to County Manager and execute an agreement <br />indemnifying County against any and all liability in connection <br />with the project. <br />8. The Board of Commissioners reserves the unqualified right <br />to reject any and all bids. <br />0 <br />
