Commissioner <br />Stafford moved for Chairperson Matthews to be the voting delegate for <br />the Lee County Board of Commissioners. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a personnel action with respect to the <br />hiring of a Recreation Department staff position. County Manager <br />asked the Board to approve the hiring of Ms. Jennifer Rickman to the <br />position of Recreation Program Superintendent for the Lee County <br />Parks and Recreation Department at a salary of $31,880.00, Grade 68, <br />Step 10. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Stafford <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had passed with a four to one <br />vote. <br />County Manager William Cowan presented the proposed FY 1994-95 <br />Budget and Capital Improvements Program to the Board and answered <br />questions. After some discussion commissioner Reives moved to <br />schedule a public hearing for the 1994-95 Budget for 7:00 P.M., June <br />20, 1994. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives made a motion to send the Board of Education <br />a letter, signed by the Chairperson, asking for answers to several <br />questions concerning budget matters. The information will be <br />requested by June 13, 1994, so the Board can proceed with the budget <br />process.
