a fl's ; m® <br />support of the Slattery/Bliley Bill (H.R. 3392), <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners supports the Slattery/Bliley Bill to promote a safe, <br />clean and adequate water supply for all the citizens of North <br />Carolina. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a renewal contract for Food Stamp coupon <br />issuance with office World for the Department of Social Services. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board, if approved, the term <br />of the renewal will be effective July 1, 1994, and shall run through <br />June 30, 1994. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the renewal <br />contract for Food Stamp coupon issuance for the Department of Social <br />Services for one year, a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the donation of four (4) typewriters from <br />Starcor, Inc. of 1819 Lee Avenue, valued at $200.00, to the <br />Department of Social Services. Commissioner Stafford moved to <br />approve the acceptance of the four (4) typewriters to the Department <br />of Social Services. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Right-of-Way Encroachment Agreement with <br />the Department of Transportation for the Beulah Brown Road project. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained the agreement to the Board and <br />answered questions. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br />execution of the Right-of-Way Encroachment Agreement with the <br />Department of Transportation.
