Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the Board hold joint public <br />hearings with the Lee County Planning Board on matters of mutual <br />concern as advertised and scheduled for this date and time. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Vice Chairman invited the Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for the joint public hearings. Planning Director <br />Trevis Averett presented the following: <br />A. Continuation of public hearing from the June 6, 1994, <br />meeting concerning the petition by Deep River Minerals. Mr. David <br />Hepple, President of Deep River Minerals gave an update on some of <br />the concerns expressed at the last meeting. A video was shown of a <br />similar plant in California. <br />Mr. Tom Oxholm from Wake Stone and Mr. Ron Dowdy of 109 W. <br />Forest Oaks Drive spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />Ms. Jane Barringer of 9910 Barringer Road, Mr. and Mrs. Ray <br />Brookins of 3901 Lower Moncure Road, Ms. Josephine Crutchfield of <br />Lower River Road, Mr. Paul Barringer of 9910 Barringer Road, Mrs. <br />Laura Young of 7500 Deep River Road and Mr. Ron Hagler of 8534 Lower <br />River Road spoke in opposition to the request. <br />B. Petition by Tom Vanderiet to rezone from Residential <br />Agricultural District to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District <br />for the location of manufactured home sales, modular home sales and <br />garage sales. <br />Mr. Tom Vanderiet spoke in favor of the request. <br />Mr. Bill Rudeseal of 7133 Lark Lane spoke in opposition to the <br />request. <br />C.
