The Agreement in the form submitted to this <br />meeting is hereby approved and the Chairperson is hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute and deliver, and the Clerk to the Board is <br />hereby authorized to attest the agreement substantially in such form <br />with such necessary appropriate variations, omissions and insertions <br />as may be approved by the Chairperson. <br />The Chairperson and Clerk to the Board are authorized and <br />directed to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the county any <br />and all certificates, documents, or other papers and to perform any <br />and all acts they may deem necessary or appropriate in order to carry <br />out the intent of this resolution and the matters herein authorized. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the Annual Secondary Road Construction <br />Program for Lee County. Mr. J. A. Clendenin from the Department of <br />Transportation was present to present the plan and answered questions <br />from the Board. After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />to approve the following Resolution: <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />anticipated a July, 1994, allocation of $166,113 in Secondary <br />Construction and $92,450 in Secondary Road Trust Funds for a total of <br />$258,563 for the forthcoming construction season and a public meeting <br />was held on June 20, 1994, in the Commissioners' Room of the County <br />Government Center in Sanford concerning the expenditures of said <br />funds. <br />WHEREAS, It is proposed to retain $11,113 of Secondary Road <br />Construction Funds and $12,450 of Secondary Road Trust Funds for a <br />total of $23,563 for small projects that may arise during the year <br />such as road additions, property owner participation projects, <br />volunteer fire department drives, county-wide surveys, overdrafts, <br />etc. <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Department of Transportation is <br />required to pave 2.00 miles in Lee County during the Fiscal Year <br />1994-95 in order to meet the goals of 1989 Highway Trust Fund <br />004 <br />4 <br />
