Oil <br />e 15 701 <br />the notice to the owners listed on the revised preliminary assessment <br />roll. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to open the public hearing for the <br />adoption of a resolution to define the proposed Cumnock Water Service <br />District. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained to the Board the <br />procedures for establishing a water service district and outlined <br />procedures to be used for the district. <br />Mr. Max Hall of 5537 Cumnock Road and Mr. Jack Hall of 5625 <br />Cumnock Road spoke in favor of the district and asked that the <br />project be undertaken as soon as possible. <br />Mrs. Evelyn Spivey of 5544 Cumnock Road asked that only one tap <br />be installed for her mother-in-law's home and daughter's home. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board and Mrs. Spivey the County <br />water policy stipulated that each residence must have a separate tap. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearing for the <br />Cumnock Water Service District. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SERVICE <br />DISTRICT TO PROVIDE A WATER SUPPLY <br />AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AT CUMNOCK <br />WHEREAS, the County's Service District Act of 1973 (Article 16, <br />Chapter 153A, North Carolina General Statutes) authorizes a board of <br />commissioners for a county to define and establish service districts <br />in order to finance, provide, or maintain for the district water <br />11 <br />
