Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered Tax Releases and Refunds for June, 1994. <br />Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman answered questions of the Board. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve Tax Releases and Refunds for <br />June, 1994. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a renewal agreement with the City of <br />Sanford's Vehicle Maintenance Department and a contribution of <br />$4,000.00 to assist with purchasing a lift for the Vehicle <br />Maintenance Department. County Manager William Cowan discussed with <br />the Board the contract and a recent meeting he had attended with City <br />of Sanford representatives. After some discussion commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to approve the renewal agreement with the City of <br />Sanford's Vehicle Maintenance Department and a allocate $4,000.00 for <br />the County's share of a lift to be installed in the Vehicle <br />Maintenance Department. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Wicker <br />Nay: Reives and Stafford <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to <br />two vote. <br />Commissioners Reives and Stafford voted "no" to the vote because <br />they were opposed to the contribution of $4,000.00 for the lift <br />because there was never any justification and documentation provided <br />to show the lift was needed. <br />The Board considered a revision to the State Highway System by <br />the Department of Transportation. County Manager William Cowan told <br />the Board the Department of Transportation had notified his office <br />requesting the Board approve a revision to the State Highway System <br />to (1) add approximately 0.23 miles to the new Harkey Road extension <br />from SR 1117 (Garden Street) to the western city limits of Sanford, <br />and (2) retain 0.05 miles of SR 1117 (Garden Street) from its <br />intersection with Harkey Road Extension to the southern city limits <br />of Sanford.
