County Manager William Cowan told the Board <br />Cherokee Sanford Brick has donated 148 computer tapes to the Lee <br />County Data Processing Department. The tapes are estimated at <br />$1,180.30. Commissioner Reives moved to accept a donation of 148 <br />computer tapes from Cherokee Sanford Brick at an estimated cost of <br />$1,180.30. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed the Lee County Arts Center. Mr. Donald <br />Nedza, president of the Arts Council and Mrs. Mary Lou Abele, <br />representative of the Arts Center Committee were present. They were <br />asking if Lee County will put programs back in the Arts Center, if it <br />is renovated, and keep maintenance up on the building. After much <br />discussion Chairperson Matthews appointed a committee of Tommy Mann, <br />Sr., Donald Nedza, and Commissioners Dossenbach and Garner to meet <br />with County Attorney K. R. Hoyle before the next Board meeting on <br />October 3rd to get a clearer understanding of what the Arts Committee <br />hopes to take place under the current contact with them. She further <br />made a motion to extend the date for ten (10) additional days after <br />the next Board of Commissioners meeting for the Arts Committee to <br />give the commissioners an answer by the second meeting in October as <br />to their intentions of renovating the Lee County Arts Center. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board Cencom Partners, <br />L.P. is requesting rate justification for basic service tier using <br />the Benchmark methodology. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the <br />following order: <br />THIS MATTER coming on to be considered by the Board of <br />Commissioners for Lee County, North Carolina (Board), at the regular <br />meeting of said Board on September 12, 1994, on a submission made by <br />Cencom Partners, L.P. d/b/a Crown Cable (Crown) for rate <br />justification for basic service tier using the Benchmark methodology; <br />8 <br />
