BOOK 15 PA(A 829 <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution naming the Deep River <br />Community. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following <br />Resolution: <br />RESOLUTION NAMING DEEP RIVER COMMUNITY <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioner for Lee County as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1. That the area in the vicinity of Deep River <br />School in Lee County be designated and known as "Deep River <br />Community". <br />SECTION 2. That the Department of Transportation be <br />requested to place a sign naming the community "Deep River" on Deep <br />River Road (SR 1466), also known as old U.S. Highway No. 1, <br />approximately midway between the site of the Deep River School and <br />said road's intersection with Womble Road (SR 1433). <br />SECTION 3. That the Clerk to the Board be authorized and <br />directed to furnish a copy of this resolution to the Department of <br />Transportation. <br />SECTION 4. That this resolution be in full force and <br />effect upon adoption. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard an end-of-year report on the Master Waste <br />Managers Program and an update on upcoming plans from Cooperative <br />Extension Director John Hall and Recycling Coordinator John Payne. <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />Ono <br />4 <br />
