BOOK 15 FnsE 835 <br />follows: <br />olo <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a merit pay plan for county employees. <br />Commissioner Reives moved for the Board to support a merit pay plan <br />for the County at this time; for the increase to become effective <br />July 1, 1995; stay at the current/existing plan until the first <br />performance evaluations have been completed from July 1, 1995 to June <br />30, 1996; evaluations will take place, recommendations for merit pay <br />increases for those who warrant a merit increase will become <br />effective July 1, 1996; and for the County Manager to give the Board <br />a procedure for implementing the merit pay increase plan. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: Wicker <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to <br />one vote. <br />The Board considered new classification titles and grade <br />assignments to the Lee County Classification and Pay Plan. County <br />Manager William Cowan told the Board the State has recently adopted <br />new classification titles for all competitive services clerical <br />positions. These positions need to be added to the current Lee <br />County Classification and Pay Plan. Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />add the following to the Lee County Classification and Pay Plan: <br />Title Grade <br />Office Assistant III 57 <br />Processing Assistant III 57 <br />Office Assistant IV 59 <br />Processing Unit Supervisor IV 59 <br />Administrative Services Asst.
