NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />APRIL 18, 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, <br />106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. <br />Hayes, Larry "Doc" Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, Linda A. Shook, <br />and James K. Womack, Jr. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Oldham delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. Chairman Shook stated the joint <br />public hearing with the Lee County Planning Board would be pulled from the agenda due to a request <br />from Planning Department staff. County Manager John Crumpton asked Commissioners to discuss <br />and consider several storm related items from the April 16, 2011 tornado that would need Board <br />approval. Commissioner Reives asked that bids for new playground equipment for San Lee Park be <br />pulled from the Consent Agenda for further discussion. Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the <br />Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />items: <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />• Minutes from the April 4, 2011 regular meeting, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for March 2011 (copy attached), <br />• Budget Amendment # 04/18/11/14 (copy attached), <br />• Change Order for San -Lee Park Dam Modification Project in the amount of $44,801.50 <br />(copy attached), <br />• Resolution Opposing Reduction of County Revenues for School Capital Needs (copy <br />attached), and <br />
