0 69va 15 ZuE 844 <br />The following bids have been received: <br />Carter & Associates $ 7,735.00 <br />Southern Pines <br />Goldstein & Associates $10,250.00 <br />Raleigh <br />Envior-Sciences $ 8,175.00 <br />Sanford <br />The survey will be paid for by the County and reimbursed by FmHA when <br />funding is allocated for the project. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the low bid of $7,735.00 to <br />Carter & Associates for the Lee County Water System FmHA <br />Environmental Study. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Cowan told the Board Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates was asking <br />approval of certification for contracts, grants and loans for the <br />FmHA application which stated the Board would not use any federal <br />money to hire lobbyist and if the Board did engage in lobbying <br />activities, a disclosure form would have to be filed. Commissioner <br />Garner moved to approve the certification for contracts, grants and <br />loans. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Cowan told the Board authorization was required for the <br />Chairperson to execute a response to request -environmental <br />information from a checklist that the engineer has filled out on the <br />County's behalf, which is one of the requirements for FmHA. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve giving the Chairperson <br />authorization to execute a response to request environmental <br />information. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />005 <br />5 <br />
