000, <br />MOK 15 PAV 668 <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended <br />approval of the Preliminary Plat for the W.E. Stanley Division. This <br />proposed subdivision of seven lots is located on the northern side of <br />Swanns Station Road next to Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church. After <br />some discussion commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the <br />preliminary plat for the W.E. Stanley Division. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the North Carolina Department of <br />Commerce will be taking applications for 1995 Community Development <br />funds in February, 1995. A request for proposal needs to be sent out <br />if the Board would like to submit an application. The estimated cost <br />for preparation of the application should not exceed $3,500.00 and <br />may be reimbursed from grant funds if the application is funded. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Garner moved to approve the <br />preparation of an application for 1995 Community Development funds. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairperson Matthews declared a short recess at this time. <br />Upon returning from the recess, with all members present, the <br />meeting resumed. <br />The Board considered disposition of the surplus office trailer <br />currently located next to the old Lee County Sheriff's Department. <br />Lee County Mental Health Authority, Central Carolina Community <br />College and the Lee County Board of Education had expressed an <br />interest in relocating the structure for their use. Commissioner <br />Reives moved that the mobile unit be granted to the Lee County Mental <br />Health Authority to be used to house their Psychosocial <br />Rehabilitation Program.
