003 <br />mbg 15 Prof 862 <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution adopting schedule of values. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained the resolution to the Board and <br />answered questions. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the <br />following: <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING <br />SCHEDULE OF VALUES <br />WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor has prepared and submitted to the <br />Board on September 12, 1994, uniform schedule of values, standards, <br />and rules to be used in appraising real property at its true value <br />and at its present-use value as required by G.S. 105-317(b)(1); and <br />WHEREAS, said schedule of values, standards, and rules have been <br />available for public inspection in the office of the Assessor since <br />said date and due notice of said fact has been given as required by <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed schedules, standards, <br />and rules was held on Monday, October 17, 1994, after due notice by <br />publication; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed schedules, standards, and rules as <br />submitted by the Tax Assessor have been reviewed by this Board; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board is ready to approve said schedules, <br />standards, and rules; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. That the schedule of values, standards, and <br />rules as proposed by the Tax Assessor are hereby approved and adopted <br />as the schedule of values, standards, and rules to be used in <br />appraising real property at its true value and at its present-use <br />value in the general reappraisal of real property in 1995 as required <br />by the resolution of this Board adopted on February 21, 1994, <br />pursuant to the authority contained in G.S. 105-286(a)(2). <br />Section 2. The Chairperson of this Board is directed <br />and authorized to issue an order in the name of the Board ordering <br />the use of the approved schedule of values, standards, and rules in <br />the reappraisal of real property in Lee County in 1995. <br />3 <br />
