Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered declaring items surplus and setting a date <br />for the county auction. Public Works Director Kenny Cole supplied <br />the Board with a list of items from various departments that are no <br />longer usable. He requested these items be declared surplus property <br />and sold at auction. After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach <br />moved to declare the items surplus property and hold a public auction <br />on January 28, 1995, at 10:00 A.M. at the National Guard Armory on <br />Nash Street. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for interior and exterior signage for <br />the new courthouse/jail/law enforcement center project. Public Works <br />Director Kenny Cole presented the following bids to the Board: <br />RP Sign Systems $23,112.25 <br />Charlotte, NC <br />ADA Signs of the Carolinas $ 9,939.83 <br />Clover, SC <br />* Did Not Bid on Exterior Signs <br />Andco No Bid <br />Greensboro, NC <br />After much discussion commissioner Reives moved to accept the low bid <br />from RP Sign Systems for $23,112.25. After further discussion <br />Commissioner Stafford made a substitute motion to table the matter <br />and instructed Kenny Cole to do more checking into the matter. <br />Commissioner Reives withdrew his original motion at this time. Upon <br />a vote of the substituted motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />8 <br />
