0 300 15 ptU 892 <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />04'7 <br />The Board considered bids for vehicles' for the Sheriff's <br />Department. Captain James Estes was present and told the Board the <br />department would like to purchase five 1995 patrol vehicles on State <br />contract. The new vehicles would replace older, high mileage <br />vehicles currently being used. Two vehicles would be used in the <br />Detective Division and three in the Patrol Division. After much <br />discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the purchase of <br />five 1995 patrol vehicles on State contract for a grand total of <br />$77,816.00. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for two vehicles for the Maintenance <br />Department. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board he <br />wished to purchase one Ford Bronco, full size, 4 x 4 under State <br />contract for $20,413.00 and one F-250 Ford Cab and Chassis under <br />State contract for $13,595.55. After much discussion Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to approve the purchase of one F-250 Ford Cab and <br />Chassis for $13,595.55 and delay the request for the Ford Bronco 4 x <br />4. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for a security system for the <br />Government Center. Public Works Director Kenny Cole presented to the <br />Board the following bids: <br />Lefler's Electronics $12,500.00 <br />Concord, NC <br />Windham's Security, Inc. $16,750.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Nelson Alarms, Inc. No Bid <br />Franklinville, NC <br />After some discussion commissioner Moretz moved to approve the low <br />bid from Lefler's Electronics for $12,500.00 for a security system <br />7 <br />
