Captain James Estes was present and told the Board the department would like to purchase five 1995 patrol vehicles on State contract. The new vehicles would replace older, high mileage vehicles currently being used. Two vehicles would be used in the Detective Division and three in the Patrol Division. After much discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the purchase of five 1995 patrol vehicles on State contract for a grand total of $77,816.00. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board he wished to purchase one Ford Bronco, full size, 4 x 4 under State contract for $20,413.00 and one F-250 Ford Cab and Chassis under State contract for $13,595.55. After much discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the purchase of one F-250 Ford Cab and Chassis for $13,595.55 and delay the request for the Ford Bronco 4 x 4.
