05 <br />BOOK 15 PnCf 914 <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered Crown Cable CATV rate regulations. County <br />Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board Crown Cable, pursuant to FCC <br />regulations, submitted to the County on August 15, 1994, a Form <br />1200/1205/1215 request for cable service, equipment, and installation <br />rate approval. on September 6, 1994, it filed a Form 1210/1215 <br />request for cable service rate approval based on adjustments for <br />external costs. He asked the Board to approve the orders approving <br />requests. After some discussion Commissioner Cox moved to approve <br />the orders approving requests for cable service, equipment, and <br />installation rate approval. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the location of a monitoring well on the <br />courthouse site. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board East <br />Coast Environmental, P.A., on behalf of the Atland Corporation, has <br />requested permission to place a monitoring well on the courthouse <br />property to determine if the groundwater is contaminated by petroleum <br />hydrocarbons from a former underground storage tank located on the <br />corporation's property across Horner Blvd. from the courthouse. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to grant <br />authority for location of a monitoring well, subject to approval of <br />Public Works Director Kenny Cole as to location, and with the <br />condition that furnishing the county with a copy of tests, and <br />guaranty to fill and restore property to original condition upon <br />completion of monitoring. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Mid-Carolina Private <br />Industry Council and Lee County Transportation Advisory Board. After <br />some discussion it was decided to delay the appointment to the <br />Mid-Carolina Private Industry Council until the next meeting. <br />Commissioner Reives nominated Rev. Nathaniel Wood to the Lee County <br />Transportation Advisory Board. Commissioner Stafford seconded the <br />5 <br />
