County Manager <br />William Cowan asked the Board to consider guidelines concerning <br />change orders for renovation to the old courthouse and Commissioner <br />Stafford asked the Board to discuss possible changes in the Board of <br />Equalization and Review. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br />agenda as printed, along with the above changes. Commissioner Moretz <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered change order guidelines for renovation to <br />the old courthouse facility. Architect Ed Fitchett was present and <br />asked the Board to allow the County Manager to approve change orders, <br />up to an additional $15,000.00 over the current $10,000.00, for the <br />old courthouse project. These change orders would also be approved <br />by Clerk of the Works Allen Capps. After some discussion <br />commissioner Wicker moved to give the County Manager authority to <br />approve change orders, up to an additional $15,000.00, with the <br />approval of Clerk of the Works Allen Capps for the old courthouse <br />project. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for removal of sludge in basins at the <br />water plant. Public Works Director Kenny Cole explained to the Board <br />the need for this removal and answered questions of the Board. He <br />had received bids from the following companies: <br />Environmental Waste Recycling Inc. $ 61,050.00 <br />Advance, NC <br />AMSCO Incorporated <br />Clemmons, NC <br />48,000.00 <br />Woodall Pumping Service 46,800.00 <br />Cary, NC <br />3 <br />
