The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager William Cowan asked the Board to consider guidelines concerning change orders for renovation to the old courthouse and Commissioner Stafford asked the Board to discuss possible changes in the Board of Equalization and Review. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the agenda as printed, along with the above changes. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered change order guidelines for renovation to the old courthouse facility. Architect Ed Fitchett was present and asked the Board to allow the County Manager to approve change orders, up to an additional $15,000.00 over the current $10,000.00, for the old courthouse project. These change orders would also be approved by Clerk of the Works Allen Capps. After some discussion commissioner Wicker moved to give the County Manager authority to approve change orders, up to an additional $15,000.00, with the approval of Clerk of the Works Allen Capps for the old courthouse project. The Board considered bids for removal of sludge in basins at the water plant. Public Works Director Kenny Cole explained to the Board the need for this removal and answered questions of the Board.
