n# 15 Mcc 326 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />011 <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1995 <br />The special called meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 A.M. in the <br />Commissioners' Room at the Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present <br />were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; J. <br />Douglas Moretz; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A: Wicker. <br />Commissioner Robert T. Reives was absent. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered the North Carolina Parks and Recreation <br />Trust Fund Grant. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to go forward with <br />the trust fund grant application to develop the optimist Park. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion. Commissioner Reives joined <br />the meeting at this time. After some discussion the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Cox and Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two <br />vote. <br />Commissioner Moretz made the following <br />the intention of the majority of the Board <br />think, for my part, I was voting to let the <br />Board sets the policy and not someone else <br />needs to pay for itself.
