Mr. Harry Chambers from the Sanford Advancement Center was <br />present and discussed the work program with the Board and answered <br />questions. After some discussion commissioner Stafford moved to <br />approve a policy for the Community Work Program and authorized the <br />County Manager to sign the Letter of Agreement. Commissioner Moretz <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Cooperative Extension Agent <br />John Hall to hire Mr. John Taylor Williams for the Associate <br />Agriculture Extension Agent position currently vacant at the <br />Cooperative Extension Office. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the <br />hiring of Mr. John Taylor Williams for the Associate Agriculture <br />Extension Agent position. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered upgrading the Lee County Emergency Medical <br />Services (EMS) to Paramedic level. Commissioner Moretz moved to <br />direct Emergency Services Director Warren Lee to submit a plan to <br />upgrade the EMS to Paramedic level in the FY 1995-96 budget. <br />Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for poles at Horton and Dalrymple <br />Parks baseball fields.
