05 <br />boa 15 Fret 930 <br />Commissioner Reives stated he voted "no" because, "I think the <br />ultimate responsibility falls on this Board either way." <br />The Board considered an offer to purchase a three (3) foot strip <br />of land on West Main Street in Jonesboro on the east side of the <br />Library property. This matter came before the Board at the December <br />5, 1994, meeting and was forwarded to the Library.Board of Trustees <br />for a recommendation. Commissioner Stafford, a member of the Library <br />Board of Trustees, told the Board the Library Board sees no detriment <br />to the Jonesboro Branch Library with the offer made to purchase a <br />three (3) foot strip of land on the east side of the Library <br />property. Commissioner Stafford moved to accept the offer from <br />Forbes Real Estate/Realtors to purchase the property for $50.00, <br />declare the property surplus, advertise that the Board will accept <br />the bid, and allow the upset bid process to take place. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Cox <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Chairman Garner <br />asked that an item be added to allow Dr. David Fisher to address the <br />Board after the 7:00 P.M. scheduled public hearing. Commissioner <br />Moretz moved to allow Dr. Fisher to address the Board. Commissioner <br />Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Stafford asked that a closed session be added to the <br />agenda to consider a resolution honoring an individual. Commissioner <br />Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the agenda as printed. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />2 <br />
