0 avam 15 pem 9710 <br />® Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold joint public hearings with <br />the Planning Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited the Planning Board to join the <br />commissioners for public hearings scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that AGA <br />Corporation was requesting to rezone from Residential Restricted <br />District to Light Industrial District two tracts of land, the first <br />with 8.82 acres of land and the second with 53.53 acres, located <br />between Lee Avenue Extension and Harvey Faulk Road. <br />Mr. Van Groce of 2733 Waters Edge, representing AGA Corporation, <br />spoke in favor of the request. <br />Mrs. Barbara Hess of 5012 Woodstone Court and Mr. Eddie Ray <br />Thomas of 3900 Lee Avenue spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to close the public hearings. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach; Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett discussed a proposed amendment to the Lee County <br />Watershed Protection ordinance for surface water supplies. He asked <br />the Board to consider a 120-day extension from the State. After some <br />discussion commissioner Reives moved to approve a 120-day extension <br />on the proposed amendment to the Lee County Watershed Protection <br />Ordinance. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to go into closed session to consider <br />and establish negotiations regarding an employment contract. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />n <br />008 <br />8 <br />
