Commissioner <br />Moretz moved to approve the budget transfer for a 4-H Summer Program <br />Assistant. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board <br />considered <br />a Proclamation <br />designating <br />March 20, 1995, <br />as "Robert M. <br />"Bobby" Tatum Day in <br />Lee County". <br />Commissioner <br />Stafford moved <br />to approve <br />the following <br />Proclamation: <br />WHEREAS, Colonel Robert M. "Bobby" Tatum is a native of Sanford <br />and Lee County, North Carolina <br />WHEREAS, his parents, Bill and Sallie Tatum still live here, <br />along with his brothers Bill Jr., Michael and Jimmy <br />WHEREAS, he has brought recognition to Sanford and Lee County as <br />a result of his distinguished career in wildlife conservation, <br />management, and enforcement <br />WHEREAS, the result of his effective service is that he is <br />currently the head of the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission <br />as identified by his rank of Colonel <br />WHEREAS, Lee County can take great pride in another of its <br />favorite sons that has excelled in his profession and brought <br />recognition to the Sanford/Lee County area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners proclaim Monday, March 20, 1995, as Robert M. "Bobby" <br />Tatum Day in Lee County. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard discussion from representatives of Vocational <br />Rehabilitation concerning services for Lee County.
