County Manager William <br />Cowan told the Board the North Carolina Association of County <br />Commissioners were requesting the Board consider this bill to allow <br />county commissioners in all counties to reorganize local human <br />services boards. After much discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />for the County Manager to notify the North Carolina Association of <br />County Commissioners that the Lee County Board of Commissioners does <br />not support Senate Bill 468. Commissioner Stafford seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to recess the meeting until 7:00 <br />P.M. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the meeting recessed for dinner. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 P.M. with all members present, except <br />Commissioner Robert T. Reives, the meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to hold a joint public hearing with <br />the Planning Board. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for a public hearing scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. Max <br />Hall was requesting to rezone, from Residential Agricultural District <br />007 <br />7 <br />
