0 0 <br />60ON 15 RnE 994 <br />The Board considered construction of a picnic shelter at the <br />Enrichment Center. County Manager William Cowan and Public Works <br />Director Kenny Cole asked for the Boards, approval to construct a <br />1,500 foot screened picnic shelter at the Enrichment Center. For the <br />past three years, $27,000 of the bond issue funds has been in <br />abeyance while giving the program time to develop. Private donations <br />have been received for this project. Mr. Cole has received the <br />following bids for clearing and hauling of stumps and debris for the <br />shelter pad and recreation area: <br />EdiSons, Inc. $ 5,760.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />NC Beal $ 6,100.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Hart Grading & Septic <br />Tank Co., Inc. $ 6,500.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />After some discussion Commissioner Reives moved to proceed with <br />the first phase of the project and accept the low bid from EdiSons, <br />Inc. for $5,760.00. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered budget amendment # 04/17/95/20. Finance <br />Director Lisa Minter answered questions of the Board. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve budget amendment # 04/17/95/20, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Safekeeping Agreement with Centura Bank. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter explained the agreement to the Board and <br />answered questions. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve -the <br />Safekeeping Agreement with Centura Bank.
