Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a proclamation proclaiming the week of May <br />1-5, 1995, as Week of the Exceptional Child. Commissioner Reives <br />moved to approve the following Proclamation: <br />WHEREAS, the Week of the Exceptional Child has been observed <br />nationally and has gained wide acceptance; and <br />WHEREAS, children are our most priceless asset; and <br />WHEREAS, childhood is the time to develop interests, skills, and <br />aptitudes that will last a lifetime; and <br />WHEREAS, the importance of exceptional education and community <br />services is recognized as being necessary for the full development of <br />all children. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is proclaimed that Lee Could will observe May <br />1-5, 1995, as the <br />WEEK OF THE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD <br />All citizens are urged to become interested in and give full <br />support to quality exceptional education and community services for <br />children and youth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners do hereby proclaim May 1-5, 1995, as the week of the <br />Exceptional Child. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from the Kiwanis Club for an <br />addition to Kiwanis Park.
