C CDt/ ' <br />l K1 l ..y <br />,4 1 ~ t J <br />Tor fez ClTountg 6varbr of CITamrttissiartiers <br />RESOLUTION HONORING NATHAN DAVID CRISSNAN <br />AS TAX COLLECTOR OF THE YEAR <br />WHEREAS, Nathan David Crissman resides at 1512 Buckhorn Road, Sanford, NC, and is the son of the late Mary B <br />Wolfe and Arthur Crissman, <br />WHEREAS, he is married to Mary Alice Lett Crissman and has one son, three daughters and seven grandsons, <br />WHEREAS, he attended Lee County Schools and graduated from Sanford Business College, taken courses at Central <br />Carolina Community College and the Institute of Government, <br />WHEREAS, he is a member of the Moore Union Christian Church where he serves as a deacon, trustee, teacher, <br />Sunday School Superintendent and choir member, <br />WHEREAS, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1953, and received United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service <br />Ribbon (2) stars and the China Service Medal, <br />WHEREAS, he was appointed Lee County Tax Collector in September, 1964, and in July, 1989, appointed as the <br />first Lee County Tax Administrator, <br />WHEREAS, he is currently a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, the North Carolina <br />Association of Assessing Officers, and the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association of which he was Third <br />Vice-President and Treasurer in 1989-1990, First Vice-President in 1990-1991, and President in 1991-1992, <br />WHEREAS, he has,:been selected as TAX: COLLECTOR OF THE YEAR of the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association. <br />NOW, THEREFORE Be It Resolved that the Lee County Board of Commissioners commends Mr. Crissman and <br />congratulates him on receiving this honor. <br />F.
