Boni 16 rrc 1.9 <br />SECTION 9. VACATION LONGEVITY AND SICK LEAVE <br />The Manager shall accrue, and have credited to his personal <br />account, vacation and sick leave at the same rate as other <br />management employees of the County. The county will accept the <br />Manager's total accumulated sick credit from his previous public <br />service employment and will credit his years of public service <br />employment for calculation of annual leave and longevity pay <br />employed with Lee County. Such accrual of annual leave and <br />longevity pay will be retroactive to the Manager's employment date. <br />SECTION 10. RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br />The County shall contribute annually a percentage of Manager's <br />annual base salary to the retirement system of Manager's choice. <br />The percentage to be equal to the percentage paid on behalf of the <br />general county employees by the County to the Local Government <br />Retirement System. <br />SECTION 11. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br />(A) The County and Manager shall fix any other such terms and <br />conditions of employment, as they may determine from time to time, <br />relating to the performance of Manager, provided such terms and <br />conditions are not inconsistent with or in conflict with the <br />provisions of this Agreement or any other law. <br />(B) Manager shall be entitled to receive the same vacation <br />pleeon <br />and sick leave benefits as are accorded other management emthereof <br />including provisions governing accrual and payment <br />termination of employment. <br />(C) County shall provide all forms of insurance associated <br />with the duties of the County Manager to include, but not limited <br />to, professional liability, fidelity bond, workman's compensation, <br />social security, and term life insurance equal to one times the <br />annual amount contracted for in this Agreement. If the Manager <br />elects to participate in the Local Government Retirement system, <br />then the life insurance policy provided by the Local Government <br />Retirement System shall suffice. <br />(D) The Manager shall be afforded protection against claims <br />and suits brought against him for actions taken within the scope of <br />his employment pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Board of <br />Commissioners pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-97 <br />and 160A-167 which established uniform standards under which such <br />claims or civil judgments shall be paid. <br />SECTION 12. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />(A) The text herein shall constitute the entire Agreement <br />between the parties. <br />17 <br />4 <br />
