600K <br />SECTION 4. SALARY <br />(A) County agrees to pay Manager for his services rendered <br />pursuant hereto an annual base salary of sixty-Six Thousand and <br />No1100 Dollars ($66,000) payable in installments at the same time <br />as other employees of the County are paid. <br />(B) County agrees to consider making a salary adjustment to <br />said base salary and/or other benefits of Manager in such amounts <br />and to such extent as the county may determine that it is desirable <br />to do so on the basis of an annual review of said Manager made at <br />the same time as similar consideration is given other management <br />employees. <br />SECTION S. OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES <br />The Manager shall not spend more than ten (10) hours per week <br />in teaching, counseling, or other non-employer connected business <br />without the prior approval of the County. <br />SECTION 6. AUTOMOBILE <br />. The County does agree to pay the Manager a car allowance of <br />$458.33 per month to cover the cost of all in-county travel <br />expenses. <br />SECTION 7. DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS <br />The County agrees to budget and to pay the professional dues <br />and subscriptions of Manager necessary for his continuation and <br />full participation in national, regional, state, and local <br />associations and organizations necessary and desirable for his <br />continued professional participation, growth, and advancement and <br />for the good of the County. These memberships shall consist of <br />those which have been customarily and traditionally budgeted by the <br />County or others as may be approved by the Board of Commissioners. <br />SECTION 8. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT <br />County hereby agrees to budget and to pay the travel and <br />subsistence expense of Manager for professional and official <br />travel, meetings, institute, and seminars to continue the <br />professional development of Manager and to adequately pursue <br />necessary official and other functions of the County. The travel <br />and meetings shall consist of those which have been customarily and <br />traditionally budgeted by the County or others as may be approved <br />by the Board of Commissioners. <br />Whenever the Manager intends to travel out of the County on <br />County business overnight or out of the State of North Carolina, he <br />shall confer with the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners prior <br />to such travel. <br />3 <br />16 <br />
