t" 16 Tv~i 38 <br />The Board considered a rezoning request presented by Mr. Van <br />Groce, which the Board denied on April 3, 1995. Commissioner <br />Stafford moved to resend the prior action taken on April 3, 1995, <br />concerning a rezoning petition for two tracts of land off Lee Avenue <br />Extension. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Moretz, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: Cox, Dossenbach, and Wicker <br />The Chairman ruled the motion failed due to Roberts Rules of <br />Order which requires there must be a 2/3 vote of the Board. <br />The Board recessed to the Gordon A. Wicker Community Conference <br />Room to hold a joint meeting with the Lee County Board of Education <br />to discuss the school system's current anticipated building needs for <br />the next ten years. Superintendent Steve Wrenn presented a slide <br />presentation to both Boards. Discussion followed and no action was <br />taken on the matter. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 P.M. with all members present, except <br />Commissioner William C. Stafford, Jr., the meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold joint public hearings with <br />the Planning Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for public hearings scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. <br />Michael Yarborough, Jr. was requesting an amendment to the Zoning <br />Ordinance of Lee County Article VII, Section 3, for Regulations for <br />Special Use Permits, to build and construct tennis courts on five to <br />six acres of private land for commercial gain. <br />Mr. Michael Yarborough, Jr. of 1114 Lemmond Drive spoke in favor <br />of the request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mr. Averett told the Boards' that Steve and JoAnn Boles were <br />requesting to amend the Zoning Ordinance of Lee County Article VII, <br />Section 3, Regulations for Special Use Permits, to place a <br />manufactured home for use for dwelling purposes to the rear or side <br />of a dwelling for a hardship case. <br />07 <br />7 <br />
