BUNK 16 rtm 33 <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager <br />William Cowan asked the Board to consider bids for Food Stamp <br />issuance for the Department of Social services; a renewal bond for <br />the Register of Deeds; and the annual renewal contract to audit <br />accounts. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the agenda as printed <br />with the above additions. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved that two additional items be <br />considered for the agenda - a letter of intent for the Lee County <br />Arts Center building and a rezoning petition submitted by Van Groce. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a request from Stanley McLeod Post # 5631. Mr. <br />George Bayer of 511 Greensboro Avenue and a member of the Veterans' <br />of Foreign War discussed with the Board some concerns he had <br />concerning the Lee County Veterans' Office. No action was taken on <br />the matter. <br />The Board considered a request from The Lee County Citizens For <br />Property Reevaluation and Tax Reform, Inc. Mr. Bob Anderson, <br />Chairman of the organization submitted a Resolution to the Board for <br />consideration concerning the Airport Authority. No action was taken <br />on the matter. <br />The Board considered a request from the Lee County Gymnastics <br />Boosters Club for a building site for gymnastics. County Manager <br />William Cowan told the Board they were requesting that the land <br />between the Sloan swimming pool and the ball fields be set aside for <br />a gymnastics building site. After some discussion Commissioner Cox <br />moved for the County Manager to begin negotiations for the <br />02 <br />2 <br />
