0 soak 16- Ftm 52 0 0 7 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, North <br />Carolina that The Zoning Ordinance of Lee County, North Carolina be, <br />and it hereby is, amended as follows: <br />Section 1. That Article VII, Section 3. Table of Permitted Uses be <br />amended by adding in alphabetical order the following new uses: <br />"Recreational facilities, privately owned for commercial gain, <br />where the activity is conducted primarily outside of enclosed <br />buildings such as swimming or tennis, etc., and not constructed <br />as part of a planned residential development. <br />Manufactured home for hardship" <br />Said uses shall be permitted subject to a Special Use permit shown <br />by placing an "S" beside them under the columns RA, RR, and RM. <br />Recreational facilities shall be permitted as a Use By Right shown <br />by placing an "X" beside it under the column OI. <br />Section 2. That Article VII, Section 4.3 Regulations for Special <br />Use Permits be amended by adding the following uses: <br />Use: Recreational Facilities, Privately Owned for Commercial Gain <br />(where the activity is conducted primarily outside of <br />enclosed buildings such as swimming or tennis, etc., and not <br />constructed as part of a planned residential development) <br />Special Use District <br />RA, RR, RM <br />Minimum Area <br />Two (2) acres <br />Site Considerations <br />Such uses shall have direct access to a paved State-maintained road. <br />All buildings and facilities (except fences) shall be located a <br />minimum of fifty (50) feet from all property lines. <br />A fifty (50) foot buffer strip shall be provided around the entire <br />perimeter of the site. The buffer shall comply with the buffer <br />defined in Article IV, Section 2. Existing, natural buffering shall <br />also be used as determined by the Planning Board. <br />Off-street parking shall comply with Article IX. <br />Signs shall comply with Article X. <br />
